Wendy Weisstein, pulled her mother out of a home after finding her Mother's health deteriorate, "She wasn't herself anymore", says Weisstein, the Founder and CEO of Health Quest Homecare. Thus, began her personal quest for health care helpers for her loved one. But to her surprise, there wasn't an agency out there that provided what she needed - an in home helper that she could absolutely rely on in taking care of someone so dear.

"At the time, I couldn't believe that there wasn't an agency out there that provided healthcare helpers or caregivers to make it all easier", Weisstein recalls. With her frustrating situation and her background and experience with recruiting, she launched Health Quest Homecare, an agency that provides caregivers that specialize in individual care. "We are tailored to individual needs", she stresses. Even if the need was to garden with a patient, for a few hours, three times a week; or someone to play cards with everyday for an hour, Weisstein will find someone tailored for just that.

Health Quest caters to all sorts of needs from those who are sick or have been hospitalized and need quality home care, to those who are in need of companions with special interests, such as card playing or gardening.

Beyond the process of hiring, Weisstein's company takes a step further in assuring her clients the best by having "in house surprise field visits". Also every two months they interview the client/patient with the Caregiver not being present. "It gives us the true idea of the environment and it is necessary to be able to provide validation to a caregiver, or give a caregiver further instruction on how to do a better job, "we want to hire people with passion," Weisstein explains.

"It's also known that employees become bonded with their patients, it's not a job you clock in and out from, it's something much more" - which Weisstein understands personally. Health Quest Homecare lives up to their motto - "We Care for the Ones You Love".
